Hello all.

I feel like I’m leaving a message on the Senate house door in Rome after Pompei left right now but will do so anyway.

There seems to be very little activity on this site so I will put in my plans going forward.

I’ve been testing the beta extensively and will be playing a Jedi Consular Sage and Bounty Hunter Powertech. Not sure what the server names will be yet but I will not be joining a guild at the beginning. The names of my toons will be Domac and Domaq so look for me when you get in the game. I’ll be in early wandering around trying to get ahead of the mass of bodies on the beginner worlds.

If any old MOJOs want to contact me, shoot me an email (obi176@gmail.com). I’ll be glad to chat about the beta.

Just throwing my significant Bothan weight into saying Thank you to Toshi and his employer for setting this up for us!

MOJO 2.0 Launch

So in searching for a site package one of the conditions I wanted was the ability to better control who signs up. In the previous site we were getting inundated with random accounts posting everything from spam to porn on our forums. In the end I had to aggressively lock down EVERYTHING, and even still they were finding ways into the site. WordPress seems to offer WAY more control over who has access to the site and at what level.

First nobody can do anything to the site until they have an account. Once an account is created there are three basic levels of access.

Administrators have access to all the administration features.
Editors can publish posts, manage posts as well as manage other people’s posts, etc.
Authors can publish and manage their own posts.

In practical terms Administrators would be myself and possibly one other to help maintain the entire site, create accounts and so forth. Editors are basically Moderators. By default everyone is an Author. I tried to make this site as close to the previous site in terms of use. I know all of you are super smart so you’ll be able to figure out how to create posts and upload images.

I put a great deal of time, energy, and expense into making this site happen. I really hope you like it!
